SCHUBERT & GIULIANI (SFZ 1009, 2003) 66'25

Duo 2xm
Mats Möller, flute
Johannes Möller, guitar

Music by two different composers with almost opposite destinies in the circles of Beethoven, Hummel and Diabelli in Vienna in the beginning of the 19th century: Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829) and Franz Schubert (1797-1728).

Mats and Johannes Möller play two Sonatas by Giuliani, and Schubert's Sonata "Arpeggione" in a new version for flute and guitar (one of the rare recordings for these instruments). Johannes Möller plays Schubert's Ständchen, arranged for guitar by Johann Kaspar Mertz in 1844. The CD is presented in an elegant Digipak.
