"This photo was taken in July, 2003, after four days of recording in the concert hall of the Royal Swedish Academy in Stockholm. The same week we had played our 128th concert.
Our first performance took place in 1995 in the small town of Gnesta during a summer festival with different kind of music - classical, folk music, jazz - and because the concert was quite a success we decided to continue with concerts in small churches and other places not far from where we lived (about 75 km south of Stockholm). Johannes was then only 14 years old, so we started with some not too demanding works by Giuliani, Ibert, Carulli, Villa-Lobos and others.
At that time we had no plans to do more than a handful of concerts, just for fun, but quite soon we became one of the most frequently performing flute-guitar duos in Sweden. Now we have played most of the standard repertoire for flute and guitar, as well as some of the most challenging contemporary works. We have recorded four CDs and on the latest, released in November 2003, we returned to the time of the birth of the flute and guitar duo, in Vienna around 1820. At the same time we expand the repertoire, reading scores and commission new works by composers of our time.
A new way of understanding the music from the beginning of the 19th century is to play it on copies of old instruments. A wooden flute from about 1860 and a copy of a Stauffer guitar from 1830 have created new views on music by Giuliani, Legnani and others."

Johannes Möller played his first public concerts when he was 13 years old. Since then he has found time for more than 300 appearances in Europe, South and North America. These include performances at the Purcell Room in London, the California State University Northridge in Los Angeles and North Texas University in Dallas (USA) and a live performance for the BBC 3 in England.
He has earned a Bachelor of Music with Honours from the Royal College of Music in London and a Masters degree at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague, Holland.

With his distinct musical language, Johannes’ artistry has reached well beyond the usual guitar circles; a fact confirmed when he became the first guitarist to win The Bromsgrove Festival International Young Musicians Platform (England) in May 2005. In October 2007 he also became the first guitarist to win the prestigious Ljunggrenska competition in Gothenburg, Sweden.
His first solo CD (Johannes Möller plays Spanish music, SFZ 6014), was released in November 2005. The CD has received critics such as ”There is a cornucopia of immaculately executed and artistically superb music-making on this disc.” (MusicWeb-International, UK).
