Duo 2xm |
|||
During the first seasons the Duo 2xm performed works by Carulli, Giuliani, Villa-Lobos and others, but very soon they incorporated works by composers such as Astor Piazzolla, Fabio Vacchi, Edison Denisov and Roberto Sierra into their repertoire. They have attracted attention for their interesting and well composed programmes, and have also worked with video projections and improvisations to works of art. The Duo 2xm has expanded the repertoire for flute and guitar, with transcriptions (for instance a version of Schubert's Arpeggione Sonata) and performances of contemporary music by composers such as Massimo Lauricella (Italy), André Chini (France/Sweden), Stuart Duncan (UK) and Erik Freitag (Austria). In May 2005 they performed in Istanbul and Ankara (Turkey) and in November, 2005 in Korçë and Tirana (Albania) and Vienna (Austria). In April 2006 they made another tour in Turkey, with concerts and master classes in Izmir, Mersin, Adana and Istanbul. In August 2006 they were invited to perform at the International Guitar Festival in Iserlohn, Germany. In 2007 they will play ten concerts in the Middle and South of Sweden and in January 2008 the will make a tour in the North of Sweden. More information at the Duo 2xm homepage where you also will find some sound clips. |
